We are delighted to announce that once again we will be exhibiting at SOFA New York. As you will see the dates of the fair have been brought forward to April 16 – 19 which we hope will mean that even more of our friends will be able to visit the fair.
This year we are bringing an inspiring group of work by some of our very best ceramicists. Important works by internationally renowned artists such as Hans Coper, Lucie Rie, Karen Karnes, Shoji Hamada and Gwyn Hanssen Pigott will all be on display on our stand – booth 308.
Amongst the other artists we will be presenting are two new and emerging makers that we will be showing for the first time. Deirdre Hawthorne & Riitta Talonpoika have both appeared in recent successful group-shows in the gallery.
We are particularly excited to show the work of American-born artist Howard Smith. Anita discovered Howard Smith last year whilst visiting Finland. Born in New Jersey, Howard has lived in Finland for over forty years. He works in a diverse range of media – and we will be bringing several of his sculptures and papercuts to New York. A larger group of his work will be on display in our gallery in London during March.
