Sara Radstone (b.1955)

Sara Radstone was born in London in 1955. She trained at the Hereford College of Art and Design, and later for three years at the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts.

She has won many awards, starting with a setting-up grant from the Crafts Council in 1979 followed by the Sainsbury Trust Award in 1981, a £1000 prize at the Portobello Contmporary Art Festival, from Unilever, and awards from the Arts Foundation Fellowship.

Radstone's work, always sculptural in from, has become increasingly concentrated and honed-down in recent years. Much of it has left the plinth as Radstone has concentrated more on wall pieces and floor-based work.

Sara Radstone is represented by Barrett Marsden Gallery, London.
